Single-sex women-only accommodation is compatible with the equality principle of Art. 8 of the Swiss Federal Constitution when offered as a genuine, proportionate protective measure. Where a resident has exclusive use of a room for rent, the tenancy rules of the Code of Obligations apply, including the three-month deposit cap (Art. 257e OR) and statutory notice (furnished rooms: two weeks to a one-month period under Art. 266e OR). Resident data must be handled under the revised Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP). Disputes over rent or termination go to the cantonal conciliation authority.

1. Parties and Accommodation
This Agreement is between the operator (Betreiberin) and the resident (Bewohnerin) for a private room and shared facilities in a women-only residence. Where the arrangement grants exclusive use of a room for a rent, the Swiss Code of Obligations (Art. 253 ff. OR) applies.
2. Women-Only Occupancy
Occupancy is reserved for women. Single-sex accommodation is offered as a lawful, proportionate measure to protect privacy and safety; it is consistent with the equality principle of Art. 8 of the Federal Constitution (Bundesverfassung), which permits appropriate measures for genuine protective purposes.
3. Term and Rent
The stated term and monthly rent apply, including any ancillary charges (Nebenkosten) itemised under Art. 257a–257b OR. Rent is payable monthly in advance.
4. Deposit
Any security deposit is limited to three months' rent and held in a blocked bank account in the resident's name, per Art. 257e OR, refundable after proper handover.
5. Safety and Security
The operator maintains access control such as keys, fobs or coded entry, lit common areas and secure external doors. Residents must not share access credentials, prop open secured doors, or admit unknown persons to the building.
6. Shared Facilities
Kitchen, bathrooms, laundry and common rooms are shared on a considerate basis. Residents keep shared areas clean and follow any posted usage schedule.
7. Visitor Policy
Visitors are received in designated areas during stated hours. Overnight guests, including male visitors, are subject to the operator's stated policy; the operator may restrict or exclude overnight guests to preserve the women-only character and safety of the residence.
8. Included Services
The fee includes the stated services (for example Wi-Fi, common-area cleaning, utilities and heating). Additional or optional services are charged as listed.
