Airbnb's 15.5% Host Fee — explained
As of October 2025, Airbnb switched most hosts to a host-only fee model. The host pays 15.5% of the booking subtotal to Airbnb, and guests see no separate service fee. This replaces the old split-fee model (3% host + 14% guest). For hosts, this means higher per-night rates are needed to maintain the same take-home.
